SYNOPSIS
This entertaining and poignant play opens on the wedding night of Henry VIII and his fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, and closes with the execution of his fifth wife Katherine Howard. Katherine is found guilty of adultery but was she really guilty or just a victim of political intrigue, plotting and betrayal?
This play examines that question whilst presenting a pointed and frequently comic portrayal of women’s lives in the Tudor court.
